I believe globalization is good to have the world work as one community. Having everyone in the world being equal and working towards one common goal could benefit everyone in it. The idea is to solve the world problems as one collective group and fight world inequality without violence. Having countries work towards having free trade so no person can be put down or thought less off because of the country they live in or their countries income. Globalization will fix inequality and state that, “governments in poorer countries of the ability to resist exploitation by international corporations.” (pg 416)
ReplyDeleteRicher countries will provide third world countries with modernized electronics in order for every country to communicate properly and have economic machines operate everywhere. Globalization will ensure that all countries have equal access to education, food, health need, and other crucial resources. The idea of globalization is to achieve similar guidelines and focus on our common concerns, “create conditions that favor democracy and respect for the human rights.” (pg 461) It is unfortunate that people disagree with globalization because I think it could save the world from wars and world hunger.

ReplyDeleteGlobalization is the creates a solitary unit of the human community coming together focusing on common interests. (pg. 461) Globalization allows for countries to communicate and interact with each other through free trade and new technological advances. Through these things countries come together to help diminish poverty all over the world. Globalization allows, through free trade, for jobs to be created which in turn allows for the amount of debt to be reduced. This also allows for under developed countries to start communicating with those of higher economic status. It allows third world countries to become aware of the technological advances in society so that they can start using them and creating better jobs and lives for their people.
Globalization is something that is looking to benefit everyone, including under developed countries. Globalization allows countries of higher economic statuses to come together to work toward common goals. This would create a world with more peace and use what has been already created by technology and other advancements to better our world, specifically in an economic way. These countries band together to help increase the amount of jobs being created throughout the world by free trade and allowing countries who may not have as many materials to become involved and start communicating and producing goods that will in turn help their own and the worlds economic status as a whole.
Globalization is a great way to maintain unity. As technology develops, globalization becomes more and more possible. "The policy of most governemnts, including that of the Unites States, is founded on the belief that global free trade promotes economic growth throughout the world." (461) Free trade amongst all countries is a great thing. It forcefully creates new jobs, technology, products, and much much more. Although jobs are lost from one country to another, new jobs are also created. Countries are forced to communicate, and a country is never isolated. People from less developed countries are able to immigrate to another better developed country. This allows people from less developed nations to still have equal rights. Free trade also brings in newer technologies to developing nations.
ReplyDeleteGlobalization is both good and bad. We send nations in aid in order for them to progress as a country and allow them to progress as much as we have on a technological scale. We send them jobs so that their country will profit and succeed. by doing this though we take jobs away from communities in the US and put people in our own nation at risk of failing in life. Globalization allows people from other countries to come to America and take still more jobs away from the general populous. globalization is good but at the same time it is a major pain for the nation that is giving the aid and jobs away because it causes that nation to look out for another instead of itself.
ReplyDeleteI think that globalization is good. It is necessary for the world to develop as a whole and help developing nations catch up economically. To some there are the downsides that the text speaks of such as cuts in education and health, and government subsidies for food and energy, but these are arguable, as are most of the listed cons. Overall, globalization will help developing economies grow, and make it easier for democracy to take control and stop human rights violations. I agree that global free trade makes economic growth by creating jobs and lowering prices, and I believe that this is the path that governments need to take.
